Upgrade, downgrade or switch billing period

When a plan change takes effect, what you pay, and what happens to your content.

Open Billing and choose another plan, or the other billing period (monthly or yearly), on the plan cards. A window shows exactly what will happen before anything changes.

Upgrade: now

A higher plan on the same billing period starts straight away. You pay the difference in price for the days left in your current period, through Paystack (Continue to Paystack). The smallest charge is ₦100; if the difference is less, the change waits for your renewal instead. Your renewal date does not move, and from it you pay the new plan's full price.

Everything else: at renewal

A lower plan, or a switch between monthly and yearly, takes effect when your paid period ends. Nothing is charged today and you keep your current plan until then (Line up the change). You get no credit for the unused time, because nothing is charged now either.

Billing shows the waiting change. To cancel it, press Keep [plan] instead, or choose your current plan again.

What a downgrade does to your content

Nothing is deleted. Sections your new plan does not include stop showing on your public site and come back if you upgrade. A Pro owner moving down loses the personal subdomain and custom domain at once, and visitors to them are sent to your eduprofile.ng address. If you are over the smaller storage allowance, you cannot upload more until you are under it.

Promo codes

Enter a promo code in the Promo code box on the Billing page. A code is made for one plan, or for any plan; if it is for a different plan from yours, you are told it is not valid for your plan. A code works once per account.

A free pass cannot be applied while a card subscription is still being charged. Cancel it first, then apply the code.

While a code is in use, Billing shows a banner naming it and saying when your free access ends. You can stop using it at any time with Stop using this code. Your free access ends straight away, your public page is suspended (nothing is deleted), and that code cannot be used again on your account. To bring your site back, subscribe or enter a different code. Support can also end a code's access, and will email you the reason.

To stop renewing instead of changing plan, see what happens when your subscription expires. Before you have paid, see how the 7-day trial works.
