See who visits your profile
What the Analytics page shows, and what we do and do not record about your visitors.
The Analytics page is part of the Pro plan. On Starter and Standard it shows a short note about what it would give you. Every plan, though, sees the number of views from the last 7 days on the dashboard Overview.
What Analytics shows
- Profile views for the last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 2 years, with the change compared with the period before.
- Top referrers: the sites your visitors came from.
- Top visitor countries.
- Click & event tracking: clicks on links that leave your site, downloads, and visitors who started filling in the consultation request form.
For short periods the chart is daily, for longer ones weekly, and for the longest it is monthly.
What is recorded
A view is counted once per browser tab session, not once per page. For each view we keep the time, the site the visitor came from (the site's address only, not the page or search words) and the country. For a click we keep where it went, without anything after a ?.
We do not keep an IP address, set a cookie or store anything that identifies the visitor.
What is not counted
- Visits from search engine crawlers and other bots.
- Your own visits while you are signed in, when you visit your site on
eduprofile.ng. If you open your site on your own domain or personal subdomain, you are not recognised there, so those visits are counted. - Visits to a draft or suspended site, or to a site whose account has not paid.
- Visitors whose browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
Because of the last point, your numbers will be a little lower than the real number of visits. If your site is unpublished or paused, nothing is recorded until it is back online. See Publish your site and Pause your site.
