Sign out one browser or device

You signed in on a friend's laptop, or you lost your phone, or you are just not sure which devices are still signed in. You can end any one of them from your account.

Go to Settings, Sign-in and security, Remembered browsers. Each browser you have signed in from is listed with the browser name, when it was last used and where it came from. A browser that is still signed in is marked Signed in, and the one you are using now is marked This browser.

Choose Sign out next to the one you want to end. It stops working straight away, and whoever is using it has to sign in again with your password (and your second code, if you use one).

Sign out and Forget are different

• Sign out ends that browser's sign-in.
• Forget only removes the browser from the list. If it is still signed in, it stays signed in. The next time it signs in, we treat it as a new browser and send you a sign-in alert.

Use Sign out if you want it gone. Use Forget to tidy the list.

You cannot sign out your own browser here

For the browser you are using, use Log out in the sidebar.

If you think someone else has your password

Change your password. That signs out every other device at once. You can also use Other devices on the same page to sign out everywhere except the browser you are using. See Reset a forgotten password if you cannot sign in yourself.
