Reset a forgotten password

On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password? and enter your account email.

• We reply the same way whether or not an account exists for that address, so the page cannot be used to find out who has an account. If there is one, a reset link is sent.
• The link works once and for one hour.
• Choosing a new password signs you out everywhere else, and we send a notice that the password changed.
• Opening the link also confirms your email address.

If the email does not arrive

Check your spam folder, make sure you used the address you signed up with, and wait a minute before asking again. Requests are limited to a few per hour.

If you signed up with Google

You can still set a password this way, and then use either. Your two-factor settings are not changed by a password reset: if two-factor is on, you will still need a code to sign in.
