Remember me, and how long you stay signed in

• With "Remember me on this device" you stay signed in for up to a month of use. Use it only on a device that is yours.
• Without it, the sign-in ends when you close the browser, and in any case after a day.

You can end other sessions at any time. Settings, Sign-in and security, Other devices signs out everywhere except the browser you are using, and you can sign out a single browser from the list below. See Sign out one browser or device.

Sign-in alerts and remembered browsers

Under the same page, Sign-in alerts lets you choose an email only for a browser we have not seen before (the default), for every sign-in, or never. Remembered browsers lists the browsers your account has signed in from, with a Sign out button for any that are still signed in. Forget only removes one from the list; that browser is then treated as new next time and sends you an alert.
