Set up your profile, step by step
The order of the setup screens, from choosing a plan to publishing.
Setting up takes a few screens. You can stop at any point and pick up where you left off the next time you sign in.
- Choose a plan. This comes first because it decides which templates and sections you can use. You can change it later from Billing.
- Choose your address. Your profile lives at
eduprofile.ng/your-name. Pro plans can also use a personal subdomain or their own domain. An address is unique across EduProfile, and once taken it is never handed to someone else. - Choose how to start. Upload a CV to fill in your profile quickly (a Pro feature), or start from blank. Both lead to the same builder; neither is better.
- Fill in your sections. Add your name, title, institution, biography, publications, teaching and the rest. Every section can be completed by hand.
- Pick a template. Templates above your plan are shown greyed out with a link to change plan.
- Look over what your plan leaves out. On Starter and Standard a short recap shows what a higher plan would add. It is only information.
- Preview and publish. You can preview your site privately as often as you like. It goes online only when you press Publish.
After setup, everything lives in your dashboard. See How your site goes online for what publishing needs.
