Choose your address
The web address people use to reach your site, and the Pro options for a shorter one.
Every EduProfile site has an address. Pick one that is short and easy to say aloud, because it is what goes on your business card, your email signature and your slides.
The address everyone has
Your address is eduprofile.ng/your-name. Letters, numbers and single hyphens only, three to forty characters. You choose it during setup, and it must be one nobody else has taken.
You can change it while your site is still a draft. Once you publish, the address is fixed, so look at it twice before you do.
A subdomain of your own (Pro)
On the Pro plan you can also have your-name.eduprofile.ng or your-name.edustaff.ng. It is an extra choice. Nothing changes until you pick it, so upgrading never moves you by surprise.
To choose one, open Domain in your dashboard. Under Your EduProfile address, choose the address you want to share and save. Your Overview, share link and QR code switch to it straight away.
- Your plain
eduprofile.ng/your-namelink keeps working. Anyone who has it still reaches your site. - If you move back to the plain address later, the old subdomain link sends visitors to it, so printed or shared links do not break.
- Search engines treat the address you chose as your main one. Changing it later moves your search listing over time, so decide once.
If you want your own domain name, such as www.yourname.com, see Connect your own domain.
