Link previews and search results

Search and sharing controls how your site appears when its link is pasted into WhatsApp, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Slack or a message, and in search results.

• Photo. The same profile photo as on your site.
• Title and description. They start from your profile and keep following it when you change your name, title or tagline. Change the words to use your own, or choose Use my profile's text to go back.
• Keep my site out of search engines. Anyone with your link can still open it. Search engines take a while to drop a page they already listed.

Your own picture (Pro)

On Pro you can upload a picture of your own, such as a banner, to use as the whole link-preview card instead of the one made from your photo and name. It is cropped to 1200 × 630, so keep anything important away from the edges, and location data is removed. It counts toward your storage. Removing it goes back to the generated card.

Sites that show previews keep a copy for a while, so a change can take time to appear on a link that was shared before.
