Add your contact details

Visitors often want to know how to reach you. Add that under Edit Profile, Contact. It is part of every plan.

What you can add

Each entry has a type, a label if you want one, and the detail itself:

• Email address
• Phone number
• WhatsApp number
• Office or postal address
• Office hours or how to reach me
• Something else

You can add up to 12. The label is optional. If you leave it empty, visitors see the type, for example "Phone number". A label is useful when you have two of the same kind, such as "Office" and "Department secretary".

Phone and WhatsApp numbers can be written the way you normally write them. A number that starts with 0 is read as a Nigerian number (+234), so 0803 123 4567 works. For a number from another country, start with + and the country code.

How visitors see them

Email addresses and phone numbers are not printed on the page. Each one sits behind a button, such as Show email address. When a visitor presses it, the detail appears as a link they can tap to write, call or open WhatsApp.

We do this because programs that collect addresses from web pages cannot read what is not there until a button is pressed. It is not a lock, though. Anyone who presses the button can see the detail, so only add what you are happy for a visitor to have.

Addresses, office hours and notes are shown as plain text.

Hide the section, or leave it out

The Show contact on my site switch at the top of the page hides the whole section without deleting anything. If you add nothing, no Contact section appears on your site.

Where else your details show up

Your downloadable contact card (the QR code and vCard on the Edit Profile page) includes your emails, phone numbers and office address, and so does the top of your CV PDF. If you hide the Contact section, they are left out of both.

We do not have a contact form that passes messages on to you. Visitors use whatever you publish here.
