Upload your CV to fill in your profile

Uploading a CV is part of the Pro plan, and it is optional. Every section of your profile can be filled in by hand on every plan, and a CV upload only pre-fills the same builder. On Starter and Standard the upload option is shown as locked; you can switch to Pro from Billing at any time.

What you need

Confirm the email address on your account first. The upload is switched on once your email is verified, because reading a CV costs us real processing each time.

What happens to your CV

1. You upload a PDF or Word file.
2. We read the text from it and send that text to an AI model, which sorts it into your profile sections: education, publications, teaching, grants, awards and so on.
3. The result lands in an editable draft that only you can see.

Nothing is published automatically. You review every section, correct anything the extraction got wrong, and publish when you are ready.

Your profile photo

A CV cannot give us your photo, so the photo is always a separate upload. The review step asks you for it.

Scanned CVs

If your CV is a scan or an image with no readable text, we cannot extract anything from it. You will fill in your profile by hand instead, in the same sections.

Your data

The text of your CV is processed by a third-party AI provider to produce the draft. See the Privacy Policy for details.
